2 Kite Ozone Access Quiver
Hi Folks after being away from kiting for over a year for various annoying reasons i'm back on the coast and flying whenever i can!
Celebrated my return with buying a 10m Ozone Access which I really love for landboarding and i can't wait to snowkite with it this winter.
What i'm wondering is what to get for my second size of kite? I'm flying the 10 up to 20mph and the logical size according to the wind range chart is
the 6m.
Would this be the one to get do you think or would the 8 be better? worried a 6 might not really light up until 25mph+ but also worried an 8 might not
add a lot of range to the 10!
I'm intermediate skill level, 150lbs, riding on sand in 12 - 30mph winds. currently use a Rage 4.7 up to 25mph and a Bullet 3.5 in 25+
I want a 2 kite depower quiver so i don't need to take as many kites if i travel. What do you guys think?

Maybe Flyguy/Flyjump/PHREE will chime in but have you tried the Venom13? That should be lit at 20-25+ (Not experienced with landboarding).

Maybe a Frenzy fits the bill. Current models offer a 7m. Older models are 7.5m.

Yeah the Venom is still useable over 20mph but its starting to be more than i can handle on the landboard and the spars make it a pain to carry about
for snowkiting in the mountains so I want to get another depower foil anyway. (no such thing as too many kites, right?)
thanson, The 7m frenzy could be an option though Ozone claim the same wind range as the 6m Access. + the frenzy might be a bit lifty? I don't jump
much at the moment except to hop into and out of toeside and even then i don't use much assist from the kite. how do you find the 2 kites compare?

The Frenzy IS more lifty, faster, higher aspect ratio, etc. But it is manageable for the reasonably experienced pilot. I have never gotten into
trouble with mine. Because it is faster, should be better able to work the kite and get power in the low end.
Others who know these kites can probably add more.

looking at your quiver, why don't you get more of a low wind engine... for the days when your 10m access isn't quite fun enough. Some big arcs are on
sale on here. As far as the 7m frenzy goes, if you want to jump, you can, if not, it doesn't force you to. I'd probably be comfortable with a 7m up
to 30/35ish

I'd go with the six if i were you. I have both the six and the eight, and the eight is just a bit too close to my 10 frenzy, although i'm basically
just a snowkiter. I got the eight for my GF to use, and i use it occasionally too if snow depth is minimal and it's blowing over 18-20mph. The six
comes out when its really blowing, say over 25 mph. Both are easy handling, stable and so easy to use.

We don't really get low wind where i live!! if its less than 12mph i usually do something else safe in the knowledge that the wind is on the way!
I am coming round to the idea of the frenzy though. Hopefully i can get a chance to try one at some point.
