kiting locations in s. cal. deserts

i live in palm springs and have been kite buggying palm springs beach and service roads for the windmill farms. interested in learning locations above 29 palms and anywhere else nearby. any info?

El Mirage dry lake in Adelanto would be one... You might have a look at the NABX forum and NABX web site for the venus for that event for other ideas.
