how is that a scam?? do you ever go shopping??? businesses do that ALL THE TIME--dont be a baby!! you were looking for something too good to be true,and your greed got the better of you--its a terrific deal for the person that pulls the trigger--

oh and by the way--that akashi retails for 279 and i got it from angus a few yrs ago,i never took to the landboard,so its been in my storage area ever since--those like jody can cry all they want,but a deal is out there for someone--if not, ill sell it somewhere.....

Why not just advertise the PL and throw the board in for free as incentive? No one serching for a Venom is going to see your ad for a landboard. Just my $0.02 to help you make a quick sale by advertising the product you are actually trying to sell. If I was in the market for a Venom and you were including a landboad it would be a no brainer (but I'd have to know you were selling a Venom and the problem here is... we don't... or at least we didn't).

Super not cool. I was stoked for a moment, to get a board to give away to a newb I know, who's really excited about the sport, but very poor.

I wouldn't imagine you'll have much success with this tactic.

(*1)This is not a' business'-this is a forum. Secondly no one likes a deceptive business anyway nor a deceptive person-more to the point. People visit here partly to be away from such business politics and such. It IS posted deceptively. It's bundled with another item..so it's not free..It's part of the price with the kite.

Nothing is EVER free if you have to buy something else to get it. Responding to a PARTIAL sale ad and having to U2U or e-mail and then waiting to find out it's a package deal is unneccessary when you can just put the info out there up front.

B-roc's suggestion is right on( and remains as neutral as Sweden-more so than I'm attempting here!). I think that would have been acceptable and clearly up front.

Folks on here with something to sell don't put up an item 'too good to be true'..they put up the exact item and true description, true price, true condition..or they get blasted as I have seen in past.

I can understand wanting to make a sale and including this item as an incentive ..and a value.It may have been meant also to just be cute or clever. The reaction shows the results..so perhaps....... there just is a more acceptable way to do it.

We have a GOOD SELLERS thread and playing games like that isn't going to get you on it very quick. You could have been up front and looked like a good seller throwing in a board to sweeten the deal. Now I will leave it to the others to decide what they think of you.

It may be hard for somebody like you to get your head around but I and a few other people have given gear away on here .

With your logic this forum is " too good to be true " . It is a NON commercial FREE forum. By someone who wants to pay forward . For people who want to pay forward. If you were a regular member you would expect this backlash to your tactics!

I agree that this is BS....This isn't a forum for a Walmart promo....BigKidKites has given some things away for free and made it a fun game to boot. How would you like if I said I would purchase your stuff and then didn't follow through or scammed you out of $$...People do that all the time in "Business" too...

ive been a member on over 10 forums and ive never seen the vitriol that spews from the pieholes of some of these members--of course people disagree on the other forums,but its never nasty to the degree ive seen it here--this forum is like a clicque of high school kids that are friendly and will "take u under their wing" then when they dont like what you have to say the attacks come hard---geez,cant you losers get a life?? im betting half of you dont even have jobs...... get out of mom and dads basement for once in your lives and do something productive--

The really sad part is that all this animosity could have been avoided if you (windwindwind) would have just advertised your kite with a free board in the package. The price you were asking is not that far off from what I paid earlier in the year for just a 19m VII KO w/o a bar and lines. I would have jumped at your deal with bar/lines and a free board had I seen it at the right time. Other serious buyers would do the same. Gimmicks aren't needed on PKF, people into kiting will recognize the great deals that come along. You've probably severely shot yourself in the foot with the way you have privately responded to some of the PKF members here, so best of luck with your sale on another site. Save the marketing techniques for your day job, they just don't buy you anything here.
