HQ Montana II 7M

Would a HQ Montana II 7M be a good first depower kite? I could get one with kite, lines, bar, and bag for $200.

The M2 is a nice kite. 7m is the most verstile size IMO and if the kite is in good shape $200 for a 7m RTF is a pretty good deal.

If you've been flying fixies for a while you'll be psyched on this thing. Depows to about the power of a 4 or 5m FB IMO and fills the gap of 2 or 3 FB kites.

As long as you start off cautiously and get a feel for her she can be a great kite in a huge range of conditions.

Yup. What he said. Snap it up, assuming it is in good condition.
