Clearing out the quiver phase one: Big BLU (SOLD)

Need to make room and clear out some kites that don't get the use they deserve.

I haven't gotten it all figured out yet but for starters I'm selling off my big girl "Blu" She's a 24m(+) prototype that I got in a dirty kite deal with Rudeboy and she's awesome but I don't have a use for her. The kite was unfinished when Rudeboy got it and he put the spar pockets on. I won't lie they look ugly but they've work perfectly. The spars I'm using are non collapsible carbon spars. I've used driveway markers in her as well and she flew just fine but I opted for the carbon to shave weight.

I say she's 24m+ because I don't know for sure how big she is. She's bigger than the 19m Charger by a lot and looks bigger than my 24m Phantom 2 by a fair amount as well. Flies in next to nothing and builds apparent wind like a dream.

Turn rate is slow but not bad considering her size.

Here's some video of the wife and I testing Blu against a 19m P4 SA.
http://youtu.be/vruP8nvoYGk

She's a rare bird for sure and I hate to let her go but she takes up space and I could use some extra $ for the snowkite season.

There are some who have expressed interest in this kite in the past and they have first dibs but nobody has settled on her yet so I'm throwing her on the open market starting here on PKF.

$350 KO Buyer pays shipping.(SOLD)

It didn't come easy G, It's a hard one to price as you know. :dunno:

In the world of Arcs she's a killer light wind rig. :wee: But I have the PH2 24 and the 1600 F-Arc so too much over lap, someone else should get Blu.

It's tough to make the 19 look small but blue dwarfs it.

One in the same! But you still end up with a cool kite. Don't we all eventually get back in the big bed? And make up?

Seriously she's a kitten to fly. On light wind days she just cruises and cruises, super stable with very little pilot input (as you could see in the vid). I've had her out in winds about 15mph and she's a lot to handle but still super fun.

I'm having a little seller's remorse as I think about the times I've flown it and how much fun it was. I even raced this kite at Kitestorm and came in second in a race that the Speed 3 SA's had to sign to get any power. Very cool. If you can fly a kite you can fly this big rig.

Jumping is awesome, very very floaty. :wee:

The worst thing about this kite is inflating and deflating. She holds A LOT of air.
