Flexboardz Mods - Getting Pimped!
I've been secretly planning this for a few months now...but figured I'd share....
Here's my new ALUMINUM deck, custom cut by Electric City Skatebards ( http://www.ecskateboards.com/).
Riley and the guys put out a top-shelf product here....the finish is cool as snot...I almost had them anodize it green (which they can do as
well)...but wanted to prototype this out first...
No more deck replacements for me!! Should last a LONG time.
Here's the frame of the FxBz in the nude:
Will post more as I get it finished....and details...weight differences and specs.
ROCK ON!!

Reminds me a little bit of the Cindrich decks... just with fewer holes.
What type of aluminum is it?
Do you have weight, thickness info for the deck? Deflection?

Sam

Will get weight differences between stock maple ply deck and this one after the wife lets me unwrap it...LOL...
She grabbed it from me and threw it under the tree...along with my MBS tri-spokes that came in the day before...
Can you tell what package? Hint - HO HO HO...
:singing: Note- next year....smaller tree and more presents...LOL
I think it's 6065 and .025 but could be .037 definitely strong enough....

Bindings
Bindings will be "wherever my feet are" style mounted.
I'm using MBS F2 bindings instead of the stock (single post).
And of course some Home Depot adhesive style non-skid material under my feet.

Crazyherb- go to a skate shop and pick up a sheet of griptape for a skateboard, put any pattern of tread on that sweet sweet deck for only $6-8. I
did foot shaped cutouts on both my decks, and I got loads of griptape left. heck, I got 4 feet for free last time I asked at the shop...

Yeah, for some reason skate shop grip tape is always RIDICULOUSLY cheaper than hardware store grip tape. I always thought that was weird. Skate shop
grip tape cover - $10 Hardware store grip tape cover (smaller area) - $50... It's just weird.

Finished! (BLING BLING)
Jeff,
Bring some stickers next time this way...there's plenty of room!!
Still need to get weights and ride difference...but it "feels" good...SHAZAAM!!
The MBS T2 tires are 2.80/2.50x4 (little bigger than the stock Flexbz tires).

I heard the other day that someone did 51mph on the East Coast with a Flexboard.
Think all this shinny bling will go just as fast?
I do believe his board is not as purrdy as yours, but it does have more experience.:P
But it does look nice, strap that new GPS to the thing and give it a go. Can't wait for the 1st big review.
