What weather app. do you use? For the wind

I have a life work, family, kids but love kiting so I watch the weather closely to make a plan to get out but every time it tells me wind the wind is not there and then when they tell me there will be no wind there is wind . Do you have this probelm? Looking for a weather app. that works

+1 for windalert.com their app for iPhone and iPad are both pretty sweet, they also have an app for droid platforms but not near as snazzy.

I'm in the same boat with work, kids, school, life, etc. so I usually check windfinder.com and windmapper.com, and go to my windalert app almost daily. The great thing about windalert is that it will give you an almost real time wind speed measurement (usually no more than an hour old, often less than an hour) so you can keep an eye out and see if its worth going out.

The other plan is to buy a whole quiver of kites; high wind to low/no wind, so you always have something to fly regardless of conditions... I'm just getting to this point, so that when life cooperates to let me go out, I can figure out something to put in the air in most conditions.

I'm going to take a nap now

WindAlert works good. It has shows a nice history of the wind at a particular station. It also shows the forecast.
