I picked up one of these on a wim today and thought I would play around with it and see if it was any good. Not gung ho on the helmet mount but I do
like the camera itself, easy to use and has a few extra goodies the gopro doesn't have. I am liking the live stream feature, I go out and play and the
wife can stay at home or work and watch what I am doing in real time.
Just have to remember that I am being watched and have to explain when I get home. :saint: Besides, got it for $150.00, not a bad price from Video
Only.

Wow!!! My biggest hold ups with GoPro has always been price,... It's just hard to afford GP,... This looks to be a good viable option that is
affordable... I may have wifey on board for this.
Gonna look into it more myself, but Jeff, give a good review so we know what someone with GoPro experience thinks!!!

I looked at a bunch of the vids on youtube and saw the wbw vids also. I think it beats the gopro and the gopro hd in picture quality, mostly because
of the Digital Image Stabilizer and the wi-fi. Most of all I like the fact that I dont have to put my reading glasses on to operate it, unlike pushing
the same 2 buttons until I have no clue what its doing and then find out I turned it off just as I head out on the buggy.
May have to compare the looxcie, gopro, contour and adixxion in a side by side test. I'll put that on my list as soon as I decide which one to add it
to.

That one is not in my bag of tricks, would be pressing my $$$ if the wife knew all the toys I have that she is not sure of. Maybe get her a new pair
of shoes or an outfit, uh, I think that would cover another camera.

Just got back from the video only store in Federal Way(few miles from home) and they had 2 left until the next shipment comes in. At that time they
will be 199.00 each, still a good price.
The one I got had the box opened and it was not all there, half dozen pieces were missing, or so I said. got it for 49.00 of the 199.00 price.
If anyone is interested let me know and I could pick up a few extras for cost and shipping.

Well, as of yesterday I spent a bit of time spinning my wheels trying to WiFi the camera to my phone and the laptop. :flaming:
But I do like the camera and the way it works. Because it failed with connecting to the EVO 3D and my desk top failed to recognize it, it has fallen
to just above the floor. So I am only able to use my small notebook to operate the software of the camera and if it wasnt for the SD card, I would
have seen how it handled the drop test across the office into the wall or the garbage can.
Time will tell, or I could get a mac and an I-phone, problem is my wife has no desire to let me use her stuff.
More to come.

Maybe you just need a computer guy (raising hand) to "test" it's full functionality for you...LOL...:singing:
I'm sure the WI-FI is probably only good to an ACCESS POINT and only 200ft range at best...
HP EVO!! I just sent three to the "surplus" pile today (not even usable by school kids).....time to upgrade!! I suppose your running Window ME or
something too... HAAAA!! I keeed, I Keeed!!
It's ok... I let the wife have all the "newer" gadgets too...
Please don't get a MAC.... (I won't go into details) Just a good laptop with an

OK, I have had a bit of time to play with the Adixxion.
I did a side by side comparison of the Looxcie, Contour, GoPro, Gopro HD and this other spy camera thing, see pic below.
To make it simple and not go into any of the other stuff most of us cant figure out or could care less about. Not to say it isnt important, and some
look for those specific details.
The Adixxion is very easy to use with buttons that are labeled and the side buttons are for scrolling through the stuff. The headband mount is a
process only inspector gadget would find easy, just stupid in my book. You will need to carry a small Philips head screw driver to put the camera on of
off the mount. The helmet mount is a bit better but doesn't look to strong. A small bounce of the helmet looks like it would break off.
I think a piece of Velcro would be a bit better, but thats me.
One of the things I liked was the ease of filming in 1 second delay or 5 second delay in Pictures or movie mode. The camera can be inverted with a
push of the button will record upside down or right side up. If the filming goes a bit long the camera will over write the SD card until you stop
filming. The screen on the side is great for seeing what you are filming, and makes play back viewing even better.
The camera is water proof until you go below the depth you can hold your breath. In other words from one side of the puddle to the other side.
As for the picture goes that is like compairing apples to apples, with the white addjustments on the camera it gets very close to the others with the
only real difference is the lightness or darkness of the final product. Doing this test was like going to the TV store and seeing all the TV's on the
same chanel with the only diff of the picture being the color, a bit darker or lighter than the one next to it. By itself the camera is worth the
price with the lack of mounts. But who in this sport hasnt done some type of gadget for that dohicky and are happy with the new creation?
If you can figure a way to use a tripod mount this camera will be a good choice.
I will not give up my other cameras as this one is #2 in comparison to the Looxcie being #1 and the GoPro's being #2. The Contour is Still at the
bottom, not for video reasons but because you have to tear it apart all the time to clean it and it is NOT water anything except very easily damage by
a bit of spray let alone a bit of rain.
edit, forgot to say that the software with the camera is not bad. The editing was OK as far as I know. I dont have the driver to load the camera into
the computer so I had to take the SD card out and used Windows Movie maker to edit the filming. I was able to load it into my laptop but I like the
track ball better than rubbing my finger over that little 2 inch pad.

Got out with the Contour Roam2 today... line mount on the kite, out on the water.
IQ seems a little crisper and colours brighter than the GoPro HD, although as the kite moved from sky to beach I noticed the AWB stepping which I've
never noticed on the GoPro.
Sound is much the same as the GoPro on the lines (useless ) but the annoying
frequencies are a little lower...
What really makes me happy is being able to rotate the lens means when
the kite is parked, you get a full framed shot sideways - very nice! That's the one thing I think the Contour, even without an LCD screen, has over
the JVC and GoPro at this time...
