Vio Kites- $150 each- SOLD
I have 3 Vio Kites, they are all in like new & excellent condition, one is still in factory plastic.
Protean II 6.3 and 10.3 with bar and lines - $150.00 each
VR8- 8 meter with bar and lines- $150.00
These are closed cell foil kites that have a unique zipper design allowing the kite to unzip to a larger size... giving you two kites in one.
Great price on a large sized specialized foil.

Viokite 2004-05
These were on par with PL or Flysurfer at that time, but their marketing was lousy and they never made it into mainstream.
Although these have "size reducing" zippers, they did not fly well when zipped.
VR8 I had I liked. It was a well mannered beginner kite with low aspect ratio (as long as all bridles are ok)
Protean2's are advance pilot kites, beginners be aware.

Looks like I'm going to give the VR8 a go. IDK, it just sounds kinda interesting to me. I was hoping to land a budget depower foil to play around
with anyway, and actually was hoping to find one that was a closed cell for use as a snow kite too...

This is the kind of thing that I would like to have just to say I have it. Unfortunately, I am too cheap to spend the money on something I don't
need. This is why I wish I had a few kiting friends in Houston. That way I could try out a variety of kites without having to buy them.

Way to go !
These kite flew pretty well. A great cheap 1st step into depower.
The bar set up was pretty poor but at $150 ? I would think about improving the bar + safety but they were RTF.
+ you will have a bit of history !
P.S. I still wonder why nobody else places the inlets under the canopy like these guys? It seemed to work great ?

Thanks guys. I realize this kite is somewhat of a novelty but I have been reading up about safety mods, and interestingly, the VR8 suits my typical
wind conditions exactly so at least it should be fun to play around with and get into the depower realm for cheap.

Just got my VR8. OMG, it was brand spankin' new and still factory sealed! Thanks Winzup, I could not be any more pleased with this kite and our
transaction! I can't wait to try it out.
Suspense builder: It turns out the wing is a beautiful Vio special edition pattern that is unbelievably cool. I can't believe my good fortune on
this one. Once I get it flying I'll post some pics and a quick review over on the Kites and Accessories page.

I have the 2 Protean II's left, if anyone wants them both I will take $200.00, otherwise $150.00 each.

Sorry, I'm confused. Are these Kites "sold" as in the thread title or still available?
