PL Venom II 19m
OK, admittedly I went a little arc crazy awhile back.. need to let one go mainly due to size overlap and it just hasn't been used very much since I
got it (once).
PL Venom II 19m - black/blue/white/orange color scheme, it has had some previous repairs but they do not alter the way it flies. Still holds air
great. Comes with original bag and collapsible spars.
SOLD.
I can make this complete RTF if there's interest as I have an extra PL Zero7 60cm bar now.
thanks,
Mike

Hmm, don't quote me here but I'd say maybe a 12-13m depower foil? I remember seeing somewhere the V1 19m had a projected area of 13.7m, so the VII
19m is likely close. I'm sure someone with more arc knowledge will chime in here. No idea on LEI's though. Anyone?

13.7m is correct. The Arc FAQ is your best friend. At the very bottom it has lots of info on every arc but the charger 6m, the phanny 2 and charger 2
(And the t-arc and hi-arcs, but who has one of those:frog:?).

And is that Big Blue under thes venom?

I'll assume that since the projected area of this kite is about 1.8 square meters larger than the 19m Charger, it should produce more power than the
Charger. Is that a correct statement?

Yes and no. The PA is a good general indicator but not fool proof. A perfect example is a 12m F-arc and a 19m Charger. The 12m has a PA of about
7.5m while the Charger has a PA of about 12m. Yet the smaller F-Arc has easily as much grunt as the Charger does and a lot more speed. When Molly
is on the 19m Charger I will either go to the 12m F-arc for giggles or the 24m Phantom 2. All three have a very similar power range inspite the
various PAs.
The Venom 2 19m has a better low end than the Charger 19m if you base it strictly on the kite's raw flying ability without any enhancement from pilot
input. What the Charger lacks in raw low end you can offset with the agility of the kite.
The Charger has the ability to generate high power quickly, the Venom 2 is much more sluggish. In higher winds the Charger is faster and has a ton of
power but lacks the rock solid stability that earlier arcs have.
The benefit of the Venom is in low winds for cruising. If you don't want to work the kite to get the low end out of it the Venoms are a great kite.

Feyd,
Thanks for the info. I am going to sell my 19m Charger before I leave Angola in a few days. I am considering this kite or a 15m Flysurfer Psycho IV.
I don't even know how to compare them, but I do know that the Psycho will be at least $300 more, depending on the RTF price for the Venom II. I
don't mind spending a little extra money if I get a much better kite, but it is really difficult to compare kites, since there are so many variables.

Ah yes I knew it was somewhere, forgot that was all in the Arc FAQ.
Yep that's Blu under the VII. I was curious how they compared, so out they came along with the leaf blower.
Thanks all for the info.
