Tug Hill meet up report + photos .........
....Epic weekend with Masskiting, Kite Club NY, TI Adventures and me with Jaymz representing NJ Kite Addicts ....... about 40 kiters total .....
.... I got about 16h of snowkiting time from Sat to Mon .... where most of times we use big kites ..... Finally have chance to use my 15.4 Gin
Tonkawa .... After few adjustments to brake lines this kite give me way more power in low wind then Spleene X19 .... I love that huge monster ....
Cruising thru Tug Hill plateau was so much differed the riding frozen lakes .....
.... Location was perfect ..... few small hills to play with and clean wind make whole experience unforgettable ....
.... Sunday offered stronger winds and you could enjoy view with sky full off kites and happy faces all around .... If you have chance to come
next year .... you should do it .....
.... and as always people make every meet up unique and fun .... It was so nice of Masskiting crew to have me and Jaymz stay in theirs party
house ... lol ....
..... When resting between sessions I finally try to play with my new camera and in result I end up with over 400 pics .... Below you will find
link to album with some of them .... Hope you guys like it ....
.. Thru whole weekend there was about 10 gopros recording ... so I am sure there will be lots of footage popping up on YouTube .... and PBS tv crew
will have some footage also in upcoming show ...
.... It is sad that this years Event was unofficial and limit number of kiters at this location ... Good news is that Masskiting is working hard
on reestablishing support from Lewis county for next year event so more kiters can enjoy this superb snowkite location ....
... So far its been my best weekend snowkiting ever ,,,,, and I cant wait to enjoy my next stop in kiting adventures .... NH Kite free event
.....

Finally got a chance to look at more than the first two photos.... looks like a very nice time!
Makes me wish I was not under doc's orders to not fly this weekend, for sure!
I hope one day to join you all on the coast, but I also hope you'll come to the Rockies....

Just a "touch of gray" here Marc. You need to get out more before you get old Us old guys can still play and party hard. No cheezy excuses next year pal ;-)
Tug Hill was one of those weekends you can't stop thinking about with a smile.
Konrad is certainly a brother and I couldn't ask for a better travel mate, but we can be like Oscar (me) and Felix (Konrad) from The Odd Couple. Funny
at times.
Conditions were cold, sunny, crusty snow, and Big Kite wind.
The hilly terrain was like riding a golf coarse and added a nice element.
Plus the snowmobilers everywhere, miles of huge wind turbines, and Amish buggies are things we don't see often.
Hope to see more friends from PKF @ Tug Hill next year.
