Welcome to the first part of the new SuperKiteDay snowkite movie. Follow Abe Alzouman, Lolo BSD and Benoit Miquel as they take you to the famous spot col du Lautaret in France for there training before the SnowKiteMasters 2013. The video was taken during the Christmas period last year and was the best xmas we ever had! We were blessed with so much snow, wind and epic sun. We are very lucky when it comes to good conditions, I guess its that SKD luck!

Abe finally learns how to hill glide on his 15m, Lolo does a crazy mega loop with his 12m deluxe, and Benoit killes it with his super looping skills with his awesome new speed 4. Also featuring Johann Civel, Pascal Boulgakoff, Gauthier Alghisi and Jerome Josserand. Next up is the Motocross KLB xmas sesh then its the SnowKiteMasters 2013!

We love Neversummer at SKD! Do you live next to there HQ? Can you share our video with them? I tried to contact Rome boards but they were not interested in big air and hangtime!

Yes the Col du Lautaret is a great spot! Challenging for all levels of riders, it has everything! Its so much fun to ride uphill, flat is boring now!
I finally learned how to hill glide and its not actually that hard, it just takes courage!
When ever i go on trips and meet other pro riders I take it upon myself to get advice from them when ever i can. I want to share with you what I learned with the most influential riders I met.

Jerome Josserand once told me it take more skill to fly close to the mountain, any one can get big air but the true skill is to fly safe and close to the hill.

Anton (a non FB user) once told me to do a glide you need to throw your self into the 'bowl' (the deep area) and keep the kite at 12

Regis SKM organiser told me its best to keep your feet tucked in, this makes for a smoother flight, it centres your gravity and looks better.

I once asked Guillaume Chastagnol 'how do you do those 1440 double kiteloops? He said with a french accent 'I just try to land on my feet'! Which I think is the best advice I have ever heard in my life! Sums it all up really! hahahah

Wild.. awesome( most overused word- but here is an example wher it might apply).

For the less skilled and experienced it seems alot more dangerous going up so high. the kitelooping while acending and descending is fascinating.

THe kite looping allows - what I don't completey understand... but I see- done correctly -it allows a steady-not jerking movement- and one to loop while landing from up high quite gently..:shocked2:

I notice some are flying w/ no helmets:o:o
