Wildwood Spring events Buggy/Blokart become Official Wildwood events

With the move of event set up this spring to the City of Wildwood the event has separated into two events and become official events requiring permits from the City of Wildwood. To obtain the necessary Liability Insurance Certificate required for the events it was necessary for the Blokart sailors to form their own event " Wildwood Blokart Beach Sail/NABSA". The North American Blokart Sailing Association has a Policy that covers members sailing at this event. Just as the buggy pilots are required to join NAPKA for insurance reason Blokart Sailors have to be members of NABSA. http://www.nabsa.org/
The new location for set up is north of Cresse Ave between the Convention Center. Some of us have decided to book rooms into the Adventurer Inn http://www.adventurerinn.com/ located directly on the beach at this site. You can walk your equipment to the beach each day. They have offered a weekend package contact president@nabsa.org for info.
See you there.

Fran, thanks for posting this up! I know how you blokarters stick together! Just remind them to come join us Saturday night of course for Smoked Pig! It's gonna be a great meal!

We will see you down there each morning at the CC parking lot!

Here's a thinker for you.... I do both kite buggying and blokarting in my homemade rig. Trouble is both activities are the same vehicle. Do I need to join both organizations?

I consider myself a kiter first, but recent WWBBs for me have been entirely sailing because of weather conditions...

With a buggy/ land sailor the machine would not actually be a Blokart. NABSA http://www.nabsa.org/ is a world wide one class organization for Blokarts. http://www.blokartusa.com/
If you are a member of NAPKA just keep your numbers on your buggy when you sail it.

Ah ha! That makes sense, I didn't realize NABSA was single class organization. Easy enough, NAPKA it is.

Thanks for the clarification.

So no one gets confused, this is the area that we will all meet up at, just in front of the Conv. Center Parking lot. There is ample room for all of us there. Fran and his gang are staying at the other hotel to make it easier for them with the blokarts. It will still be the same ol same ol when we hit the beach and the night activities at the Shalimar won't be any different either!

Can't wait to get there!
