I will not be donating. I can't believe they teach at a beach like that given the close proximity of the power lines to the shore. An accidental lofting could lead to a fatality. He's lucky to have only lost his kite and not had the current flow down the salt soaked lines to his carbon bar and metal spreader.

Yeah, not the greatest promotion of the sport! I am with B-Roc, bad spot for any kiting! Especially if you are videoing!

Can't believe they allow kiting on that beach with power right there.

the riders should be the ones who should avoiding kiting right there. I think this video should be kept up to show future riders how dangerous it can be. what and idiot. We've all had our moments, but it didn't even look like he was making the right decisions for that day. the locals should be jumping all over him about it so that people in their area won't do that again

I would assume it was a local in the yellow vest giving him lessons in the beginning so I also assume the locals are totally down with learining and kiting on that beach though in the video there were clearly more riders downwind of the powerlines so maybe he came way upwind and was overpowered on his downwind run? Either way, its an incredibly stupid place to launch, land and kite in any kind of onshore wind.
