Having gone 94 miles in 6-7 hours, I can appreciate what it would take to pull this off. The impact on your body would be tremendous. I hope we get a written account of the trials and tribulations he went through.

Is it bad that I didn't know who Peter Foulkes was, but recognized the call-sign, "Gannet." :embarrased:

Amazing effort, that's close to 50khr average, a fair chunk of sideways pull for a long period of time, you'd be stiff and sore after that, plus the concentration at early morning hours in gusty overpowered conditions.
Not a record I would ever be able to beat.

Edit.... Oops I worked on 12 hrs, not 24.

Still an awful lot anyway.

Even if you only used 18 hours, you could average 25 mph. Getting conditions to provide wind that consistent would be a trick. Your body allowing you to do this would be the hard part. This is one of those things that most anyone could do, but its so hard to accomplish that few could finish.
