12m Phantom for Sale (Craigslist: Not Mine) price dropped to $375
I already have a 13m Venom, but hopefully someone snaps this up. Sweet color, too! Lemme know if you need Denver support for this purchase:

New Link. It's approaching reasonable asking price ...

That guy's an idiot based solely on his price.
No kite that old is worth 500 Kite Only, it doesn't matter that it's a 12 phantom.

Totally agree, but its Craigslist. Prices are fluid. Offer him $200 and if he doesn't take it, he will at some point. Also, I thought he has an 04
bar in there, no?

Yeah, looks like the bar/lines are included. From the ad:
"Complete with carbon spars , bar, line, expandable backpack and leash attachment."
This sure is tempting, my 9m Phantom needs a friend. o__O

Oh there is lines now? I hadn't even clicked, I saw it last week on CL and it was KO when I saw it, and I laughed.
I mean, I'd love a 12 phanny, but at less than half that price he's asking!

I'm just going to play devils advocate here more out of interest in the discussion - agreed we all like a deal and if you could get it cheap that
would be great and my first thought was k/o on a used 12 - no way 500, but with bar and lines hmmm ...... So - what if they (V.O.) produced a brand
new 12m Phantom today based on the original plans and graphics - so identical to this one but new today. So how much would you expect that kite to
sell for and then consider if this kite still stands up as a great flying kite and assuming it was in MINT CONDITION what would the value be of the
two side by side?
The cost of bar and lines has been sky rocketing over the last few years so retail is getting close to 500.00 but if it came with an older bar and
lines if the lines but still in good shape if you knock anywhere from 100.00 to max 150.00 off for bar and lines that still leaves the kite at 350.00
ish.
If a 12m kite in very great shape at 350.00 is still a good price. But if it's a kite that has been flown on and off over the years since it first
came out and everything worn a little (and what is good shape to some/sellers may be seen as worn by others/buyers) then I agree on a little lower
price complete. There were a couple of almost new 9m Phannies k/o that sold last year in the 350-400 range, ..... and this one goes to 12 (better than
going to 11 )
in the end if you want to sell - it's what the market will bare - like the others said make an offer and maybe he'll come back after a little time of
it sitting there.
Anyway just some food for thought - are we collectively responsible for applying pressure to devalue our own kites sometimes? If you only buy used
it's not an issue - in fact a great way to get good gear, but does it put a damper on buying new kites when you wouldn't have any hope of getting much
value on the used market.

Holy bejeesus that's a large "bid"
Anywhoo, I paid $350 for my 15 phanny + bar/lines with a couple of patches and I count myself lucky for getting a good deal. Personally I hate the 04
bar, so I wouldn't pay more than $375 for this kite combo, but anything sub-400 is a sweet deal, IMO.

Also... I can't actually sell my old kites due to the phenomenon that mark is talking about. My kites were old when I got them. Now they're old old
kites. People wanna offer me sub-$200 for kites + bar and it makes it not worth it to sell. I blame the LEI used market, which has flooded the market
with cheap, recent' lightly used kites. Too bad bars don't follow suit. The safety innovation is all in the bars.
