GoPro still seems to lead in lens protection (EDIT: Lens protection via 2 snap-on covers) . Not sure if the tripod mounts are
stainless inserts or not.

I have the GC-XA1. I like it better than the gopro. dont think the 2 is that much better, for now the 1 is good enough.
