Intro and short skatestyle landboarding video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXrtNHQ2yTg&feature=em-up...

Hi all

I'm new to this forum. Just wanted to share a short video of me at my local spot in South West Australia.

My spot consists of a pretty small oval, but it is located just off the coast which enjoys some pretty good clean winds making learning stuff easy.

Hope you enjoy.

thanks guys

I'm pretty lucky with my spot. Coastal views, clean winds and no crowds. And a short 2 minutes walk from my office so lunch times are great.

I bet you're the only one in the area land kiting? Same here. I am 10mins drive from my local park where I kite at lunch times and it's great 'cause I am the only one there doing it. All to myself! hehe

I could be wrong here but it looks to me like you might have even better results if you try and redirect the kite back overhead once you have sent it and pull in / pop. It should give you more float and reduce the need to deal with looping the kite after landing?

That said, you are pulling off way more stylish jumps than I do.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

awesome video .

PS : dear BR ..I start thinking it look good video to me to start small transition jump .

the video view angle give better idea of kite /rider position .
I think at 1.01 , he had a bit clean jump , less floaty & kite ready heading to new direction when landing.

I would like to try & practice it out for next outing imho after some more watching , to get my first clean jump .

or maybe I get it wrong .

Really liking the added skate style tricks!
Opens a new dimension to land boarding.

Now I wanna have a location like that too!

:021 is a real nice transition jump !

In my local / small park I am forced to do transitions. I get better results when I can bring the kite back up and head off in the same direction as I started.

Hard for me to be a critic since bob is pulling off way more stylish moves than I can do.

Hi there.

The looping was just for the fun of it. It adds a little bit of scare when the redirect power comes in and rips you sideways and takes away the float. There is a moment that puts you fully to the test... an added buzz that no normal air can deliver.

Give it a go. Once you have landed a few, you will know the awesome fun of the loop.
