Need advise
I bought a prism snapshot 2.5 and it is a great kite. I am currently looking for more power and I have found two kites that I can afford but I need to
know which one is better and offer more benefits
I want to know which one of these has more power and performance. Prism Tensor 4.2 or HQ Beamer V 5.0.
Thanks

Both of those kites are a pretty big leap (pun intended) from the Snapshot 2.5. Something in between might be a better choice. Have you flown your
snapshot in 4 line mode yet? There's a big difference in adding those two additional lines and the corresponding handles.
I've recently traded my Snapshot 2.5 for a CrossfireII but will be buying another Snapshot 2.5 since it is a great kite.
Personally of what you've chosen, I prefer the HQ Beamer but I've never heard anything bad about the Tensor. The tensor also has the convertible bar
which is nice and exposes you to multiple aspects of the sport by giving you that bar experience as well as quad handle experience..
If you have other kiters in your area, it's in your best interest to try before you buy if possible..

not a lot of info here... like your weight, wind speeds, or how long you’ve been flying the snapshot..so if it comes down to only these 2 choices I
say go get a proper 3m kite......I’m sure you don’t want to hear that, but it's probably the right answer......sorry

Welcome to the addiction Andrew.
IMHO Both are great kites (although this thread is in the jumping forum :puzzled: ). Not recommended jumpers though!! Oh you will go up just fine in
stronger winds. It's the down that's a potential problem. You will be hard pressed to buggy in those winds with that size kites. You'll get by with
static flight but that will be on the low side as well. I like my 6.9m in about 7-10mph. The 5m in about 10-15mph. Over 15mph and I'm back down to a
3-3.5m. Over 20mph and I'm even smaller to my 1.8-2.5m. But that's just my taste. All riding in the buggy of course if that gives you a reference
point. I'm 210lbs too. That is just cruising around and not Xgames style
Lesser winds if I'm just static flying but proportional still.
For a lot of static and buggy fun, it's hard to beat a good 3m and 5m. That will cover most of your normal wind days to start out with. Glad to hear
you are still wanting to grow basic pilot skills. Master that with your eyes closed and the buggy learning will be a lot easier and safer in the
future. Grab a helmet too if you don't already have one. Lots of good people around to help as well. Not sure where you are at, but other kiters are
closer than you think. All in my most humble opinion as your plans are for static and future buggy.
As abkayak always says, kiss your checking account good-by too! :D

For jumping a Peter Lynn Twister is hard to beat. A bit much to start with for most folks. The Beamer is a better choice for the first 4 line kite
and if your wind speeds are where you say they are the 5 would be ok but not recomended as a first kite either. But you wont get much air at that low
a wind unless you go for the bigger kites. A Tensor is a decent choice for you as well. Both the Beamer and the Tensor are solid first kites that
can get you started into buggying later. They aren't ideal buggy kites, but they will wet your whistle just enough.
Welcome.

he's not really looking to jump..he wants to do this proper and be a pilot. and is just looking for a next kite..we all want to jump to some extent
and all play w/ the up thing when we are feeling comfy about it.... if your winds are 5-6mph you will have no pbms w/ a 5m next kite I hope they are
not..i’d still get a 4line 3-4m next and after some time get that VIP or lifter kite…definitely look into moving somewhere w/ more wind
