Anyone know about paints??

So long story short, I built my dog a bed these past couple weeks. I went into Home Depot told them what I built and asked for a super high quality paint that would also work well on our walls. I walked out with Behr Premium Plus, Ultra Deep Base, Satin, and Semi-Gloss, 100% Acrylic, Enamel paint (one can satin, one can semi-gloss).

I was under the impression that, it might be in my interest to apply a clear coat, once the paint has cured (to make the paint harder to scuff). I was thinking a urethane finish, but can't find an answer if it is necessary and what type of clear coat is best. I was reading about minwax polycrylic clear coat, but not sure if it would work without yellowing the paint, and again it it is worth it.

I'm not much of a carpenter, but so far it has turned out fairly nice; so, I want to keep it that way. Anyone here with wood working skills have any insight what to do?? Should I just leave it cure and be happy with it, or any products you could recommend? I'll post a picture soon, so you guys can see what I've created.

Here's some pics. Its definitely not fine furniture, but that's why I'm an electrician.

The polycrylic will not yellow. I use it on painted handrails. It provides just a bit more protection and is easier to keep clean. Works well on flat and semi paints. Not sure about semigloss, may peel due to being less porous. Semi is more durable as is.
FYI water base only over latex.

Sounds like it MAY work. I will paint a few test boards and give that a try before putting it on my project. I should have got a paint just for this project instead of trying to cover my walls as well. Thanks for the info.
