The GoPro Hero HD will record in 1080p, 960p, 7320p (30&60 FPS), and WVGA. It will also take 5MP stills one at a time, or in 3-shot bursts. Finally, it will take photos for time-lapse at various intervals (1, 2, 10, 30, 60 second intervals). The included LCD screen adds a bit of bulk, but for framing shots, and ease of use getting through the menus, it is great. I have updated the firmware to the latest version. In addition to making the camera compatible with the included LCD screen, it also makes the camera compatible with the Wi-Fi backpack and remote should you purchase that accessory separately (its not included). This camera and the Hero 2 are also the only cameras to date compatible with the 3D kit (also NOT included), should you want to play with that capability.

You won't need to buy anything with this kit, and it is all basically new and unused. I got this as a Christmas gift the same year I purchased a Hero2, which has gotten the bulk of my use.

The Hero HD compares very favorably with the current GoPro Hero3, White addition, minus the built in WiFi and app compatability, and those sell new for $199. With the extra housing, mounts, and LCD BacPac there is over $100 of additional value added.

Price is $150, including shipping (which will be USPS priority) inside the US. I am willing to ship overseas, but the cost will be $145 + actual shipping.

I had that camera and am pretty sure it doesn't do 1080p. I currently have a hero 2 and 3 and getting the Hero 2 gave me the 1080p capability.

Edit: Wiki page talks about a Hero before the Hero 2 that does 1080 so I could be wrong. I know my Hero camera that looks just like yours was not able to though.

This camera will film 1080P.

If you look at the third picture, on the back of the camera, it has the various camera modes (indicated by R1 through R5).

R5 = 1080P at 30 FPS

The GoPro line from oldest to newest are:

Standard Def Hero
HD Hero 960
HD Hero (This Camera)
HD Hero2
HD Hero3 (Black, Silver and White editions; all with very differenct capabilities).

There was a version of the HD1 that only did up to 960, but the original did 1080 for sure.
