Peter Lynn C Quad 4.2 Safety System

Hi,

Iv recently purchased a peter lynn c quad 4.2 (quad line) and is an amazing kite to fly. Using the bar(handle like bar) that came with the kite.

I just wanna know if anyone knows how to incorporate a safety system with this kite?

Any ideas would be appreciated?

Thanks

How about a strop line with a loop in the middle across the top of the brake line leaders, you could then hook on a leash line to the loop, drop the bar and the leash would pull both brake lines.

Have you ever tried your Cquad on handles ?

I have to admit I have never tried mine on a bar but ...

Handles allow you to trim the Cquad on the fly . The stiff frame gives it an amazing / unique feel. Like an NPW , Rev Blast cross.
I can't imagine the Cquad being 1/2 as fun on a bar ?

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

I'm not a great bar fan either but ..... the C-quad bar is shaped to allow you to trim the brakes on the fly. I have one in the garage and that's where it's been since I acquired it!

Seems to me they would be 2 very different experiences.

Full on power full time with the bar . OK for kitesurfing , I suppose ?

Being able to trim the kite on the fly is why I love my Cquad experience.

I think he is using the original C Quad bar that has the angled ends so you twist the bar - works somewhat similar to handles (although limited in the range of movement by comparison). Then there was a simple harness loop line like hooking in on a windsurfing boom.

I've never seen one of these before,... Google searched it,... That's really interesting, and yes, it seems very similar to an NPW in a way

I learned something to !

I always thought that the bend in the old bar was there to give a bit of slack on the brake relative to power lines. Never thought about twisting it. :duh:

I wish I had 1/2 the kite knowledge that Markite has !

And I'm always wishing I had half the knowledge of quite a few others...so much to learn.
