I'm smitten with the carbon bits and baubles. I'm all about function over form though. While the carbon axle might actually smooth out some vibration from the lakebed surface, I'm afraid the sand, dust, and pebbles kicked up by the wind and front wheel would compromise the axle.

My carbon belly plate has already earned it's keep though. Wouldn't be without one now.

Soliver, I had a blast tonight in my plain old stainless Apexx at our Friday Night Kite Club at a Soccer park. It's the first time I've been to it that I could actually buggy with some good wind. Ripped it up with a 4m then 5m HQ Toxic. Bare hands too. Didn't even take my harness. It was like when I lived in GA and would go ride behind Kroger in the large field. Buggying is fun no matter where you get to do it.

I agree, but I haven't gotten to ride in quite a while. I haven't ridden anything other than my own VTT bugs and I didn't take the opportunity to ride anything else at JIBE las year. I love what I've got, but maybe this year I'll give something else a try at JIBE.

You coming this year?

NO problems with the carbon axles, many tested before going on the beach, smooth sand or hard sand like nabx, jump, heavy pilot, never had one problems, they are light and more rigid than a stainless axle, try one, you ll want a new immediatly!!
