Ozone Octane 4m or 5m?
Hey guys,
Im a long time reader, first time poster and first of all i would like to thank the forum for the immense information here, it helps everyone!
ok so my question is, im in doubt whether i should purchase the octane 4m or 5m with a trubo bar, as i recently moved to south england and was not
able to bring my surf kites over. i currently own a a nash park 8,10 and 12m and i have been kitesurfing for the past 4 months straight (im form
brazil, wind there is amazing) so i was looking to landboard while im here in england as the water is too cold to get in lol, and i was wondering what
size to purchase, i have done a ton of research but still cant decide. I weigh 165lbs and the winds here range from 7 - 25knots.
i would like the best kite size out of the two, to jump and ride with my longboard... i was also thinking to use it when i go snowboarding in
decembers... hope you guys can help me with my doubt!
thank you very much in advance!

If you're looking at jumping, you may need a little more power, so go for the 5 meter. For free-riding, I'm perfectly powered with my 5 meter Octane
in about 13-17 km/h winds.

Personally. I would not comsider FB type kites as they have next to no depower and for land kiting especially jumping, the Ozone Octane will get you
going but not for jumping, not like the SKD guys anyway. You'll be much better off with your current quivers as they have a lot of depower and control
especially your largest in 15 to 20 knots. If you really get into ATB land boarding, the best kites are the Flysurfers, HQs and Ozone depower brands
(names escape me). Ozone Octane are really good trainer kites and are much more suitable for crusing skate style kiting or just doing basic runs on
the beach. If you had to go with an Octane, get the 5mtr, as I had the 4 and was always underpowered and had to dive the kite a lot to get going in
moderate winds. But if you get into buggying, the Octanes are a great engine puller.
