i am a newbie to this i have bought a mountain board and a peter lynn buggy and wind meter,so now my quest will be for one kite ,would a peter lynn
3.5 meter kite to ok or a 2.5 training kite for someone who just wants to cruise no stunts or jumps just wind power, please note i will not be using
the board or buggy until i learn to fly a kite decently and will spend as many hours as i can doing this as only need to walk outside 50 meters to a
50 acre field i can use with no trees ,all advise greatly appreciated

The best, most user friendly kites that I use at home on 40acres with the buggy are my Nasa Star 2's. I probably use the 2.5m and 4m the most at
home. They're quite a bit lighter than a foil (being single skin) so they stay up in lulls where my foils won't and they don't accelerate as quickly
in the gusts giving you more time to react. They're not quite as fast as a foil and need a little more power to get upwind but they're my go-to
inland kites. Here's a look at the 2.5m and there's quite a few more vids on my site of buggying with them both in the paddock and on the beach.
I had a 3m PL Hornet, which was an excellent kite, but find the Nasa's better in the conditions I get at home. I get mine direct from Born-kite in
Germany which takes about 9 days to get to Aus.
If the field is inland with gusty winds then nasa wings do real well in those conditions. I have been flying and making them for over 7 years now.
Let me know if I can help out.

Something to consider is that you will need more than 1 kite down the road .
Being small I think you should look at something around 2.5m to learn the ropes on. The catch is that you will need something bigger to work as an
engine in a field. The 2.5 will serve as a high wind engine but will frustrate you in the type of winds you want to learn to ride in , being too
small.
It seems like you have a leaning towards bars ? If that is so take a good look at the NASA star that John suggests. They are a departure from
traditional foils but fun and safe ! + do the JOB !
