5m Buster II
Yeah, the Buster II's are finally here, pulled the 5m out of the bag today, first flight, really bad inland feild, wind was 10 gusting to 20 and very
swirly.
The kite comes complete RTF, everything is hooked up exept the KS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s, You get the kite, stuff sack, lines, handles, KS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s,
decals, straps to pack the kites up, sand bags to hold the kite down, ground stakes and a few other bits that I'm not sure about. First go, kite goes
straight up, brake lines are loose, but after adjusting them 1/2 way up the quick adjusters on the handles everything's the way I like it. It has
limited air vents similar to the Broozas, 6 of them on the Buster II, seems to help on hot launches and keeps the kite a little calmer when it luffs
out and gets hit by another gust. The kite flies fairly smooth, predictable and does well when turning it just by the power lines, when you use brake
turns it'll spin on a dime. When on the ATB, it seems to have pretty good bottom end and had no problem getting me going and then a simple park and
ride.
Build quality is years ahead of the Buster I's, only thing that didn't change is the flying lines, although the bridal on the BII is now fully sheated
and uses a quick adjust for the power settings, the lines are the same as the BI's. Shoudn't be a problem though, I have yet to replace a set on my
2yr old buster I's. Just not as shiny as the race kite lines I'm used to.
All in all I'm pretty happy with the kite, I really need some cleaner wind though to really put it through it's paces. I'll be out near the ocean
tomorrow and post up more on it, Hopefully get some pics.
By what I can see though, It's exactly what I was looking for, It's going to be used as one of our club kites. We've been training people on the
Buster I's, but only have them in 2m and 3m, then the 9m on a bar. the 5m BII should fill the gap nicely to get people used to flying with more power.

PT2,
Got the kite out today again, 10mph winds, but smooth. Kite flies well, nice and smooth, does extremely well flying off just the power lines or using
brake turns, your choice. Launches easy. I would have spent more time on it but I couldn't get it back from the noobies for the better part of the
day. We had 3 new guys out, flying for the first time, put them on the 3m Buster I for the first 1/2 hr or so to learn the basics, then jumped them up
to the 5m Buster II. Somehow this seems a fitting test, what better way to see what the kite's about than to have a noob flying it. Seems they all did
quite well and liked it. I'm thinking if you're new or fairly new and looking for a kite, the Buster II is one to consider. If you've been around and
just like a kite that'll park and ride, good all around cruiser it also suits the bill. Not a race kite but it serves it's purpose well.
