epic buggy ride second time
picked up my friend and we head of to a big farmers field near the beach, wind was blowing hard hulled out the buggy and land board and decided to use
only my two meter training kite ,we jump through the fence and my grandson asked if he could use the land board down a small hill i said yes but be
careful don't want you falling of and braking your neck the same time i went i slipped 100 miles per hour on my arse ,i slipped in a cow turd down the
hill and was covered in #@%$#! all down one side of me ,my grandson and friend
was greatly amused more so that me lol any way we launched the kite and spent 3 hours bugging and my friend even had ago heaps of times,i am still
only going one way and zig zagging across the paddock at around a 45 degree angle in to the wind and walking back with the buggy to start again ,it
was epic ,have been flying the trainer kites for 3 weeks and getting out just about each day for a few hours flying and have watched endless hours on
you tube and on this forum studying the wind window,i did try the mountain board but come of it more than i could stand on it ,i am hoping to go away
over the weekend to maybe be brave enough to try scudding on sandy beach ,but i love the buggy its pretty awesome ,all advise welcome

glad this is going in the right direction..do not be afraid of scudding..imo it's the best part of the learning process and i think most are doing
this long before they think about getting in the bug or on the board...don’t put the kite up if you think the winds too strong and don’t send it thru
the meat of the power zone first few times thru.. take small bites and work yourself up to a full power stroke..bend the knees and lean back a bit and
be prepared for the pull before you put the kite in the PZ...and above all else leave the place :D

Try butt scuds first... Sit down and put your feet in front of you flat to the ground, knees bent. As you pass through the power zone allow the kite
to pull you forward and do your best to keep your feet in front of you. If the kite pulls hard enough it may lift you backside off the ground, but if
you keep you feet in front of you you'll be fine, just sit back down once you can.
We had one of those rare days in the metro Atlanta area with 20mph winds yesterday, so on my lunch break I took out my 2.6m PL Viper S on the ball
fields and was a little too nervous to stay standing so I did butt scuds for about 20 -30 minutes. I would sit down and lift off the kite and do
figure 8's allowing the kite to drag me anywhere from 60 to 100ft across the field. Funnest wedgies I've ever had
I'm going to take a nap now
