I am looking for suggestions for a 10 day kiting trip.
Requirements:

Warm Avg >70
Car
Landboard (Nice hassle free beaches)( Beginner\Intermediate)
Kite Surf (Shallow, warm water)( Beginner\Intermediate)
Good Cheap Food along the way and there
"Wake up and Kite"... No more than 15 min drive

One of the places I was looking at was South Padre Island, anywhere else?

this time of year, Galveston is nice. Further South you can go to South Padre. Limited people this time of year to get in your way. Water is shallow, and warm enough.

Closer than Florida

SPI is an interesting place. You've got the wave side; then you've got the pay side.

I've never rode at the event site. Is it $5 to get in? Does the event center cause a wind shadow?
