a wind chilling -10 at the beach in 2011
-10 is super low for the UK. Prevailing southwesterlies most of the time keeps us milder than we should be at our latitude which is on a par with
Canada. I can't imagine 27 below. How does that feel ?
The UK grinds to a halt if it snows a few inches. The trains stop running if leaves fall on the line. Yep, if you want to invade our country then
winter is the best time.

Same cold up here! Just broke yesterday, now we have no wind.
I went out in -30 (windchill -40) to fly static and test bridle settings. Full snow suit, downhill gloves, forgot my balaclava and goggles, oops!
Suffice it to say it was not a lengthy session! With a good suit that sheds wind you can negate the windchill factor as you are usually keeping your
back to the wind.
Tuning bridles in -40 just doesn't happen. Can't take your hands out of the gloves long enough!

I guess I shouldn't complain so much about the cold since you northern guys have it worse than I. For WI it's been pretty cold here as of late, Wed
supposed to be -9F for a low. I've been out in similar weather many times, I just make sure to keep the fiddling to a minimum and protect the skin as
much as possible. Last year I had one extremely cold day where I accidently cut my cold hand on my ski edge and didn't feel it till I put my gloves
back on and my hands started to warm up. At first I couldn't understand where the blood was coming from until I put 2 & 2 together.:duh:

Ok that is dedication! I took the day off Thursday this week, it is looking looking like a high of 7 degrees, I am going to give it a try, not sure
what the wind chill will be.
I am thinking about putting spiked hot chocolate in one of those camel back drinking systems to stay warm!
