Advice for newbie needed.
Hi. I hope this is the right place to ask. I would like to get into power kiting and need an advice on what equipment i will need.
Is there something universal for buggying, power skiing?
I suppose that there is propriety equipment for certain task but i am not going trying to go pro, just for casual flying.
I need something that is usable summer and winter (+30C, -20C)
What way to go, 2 or 4 lines? What size kite i need? Are those sold on eBay from China any good?
That's perhaps all the questions i have i can think off at this time.
By the way my weight is 66kg. Wind speed is 3.5m/s average but winter time is always more than that, something around 5-6m/s.
I would like to kite on frozen lakes in the winter.

yes this is the right place..No don't buy the China/ebay stuff it just never seems to work out, particularly for newbs..2,3,4 lines all work, 3 being
the easiest to learn on, 4 will be harder at first but have a longer life span in your quiver...think about a 3/4m kite dont go too big everyone needs
a kite that size...best thing to do is see if anyone is near you to help out a bit, soooo where are you?? and welcome aboard!

Thanx guys. I am based in EU, Lithuania, town Zarasai. i will check out that link. Lately i am digging into the info on youtube about this sport. I am
into extreme activities when i can. Ice boating was the last but winters got milder up here and we dont have as clean ice as we used to 10 years ago.
I thought power kiting would get me back in business with buggyin, skates or skies for winter on it.
Thanks again.
P.S. Just checked out that site, brilliant info.
What about Striker 4.0 for the first kite? Perhaps Savage 6.5 We have little wind here, mostly force -2,3, more in winter, probably force -4,5.
I would be using some large frosen lakes, we have quiet few here.
