Really Bord Got Funney Dumb Question
Its been -24 degrees below actual temperature I cant even guess what the wind chill would be so going outside is out of the question. So I have lots
time to think up dumb questions, Here we go!
How do you get your boots released from your bindings with out ski poles?
My body and knees don't bend that far, I must be too old! The first time out I found my self just standing there thinking to myself ok now what!

Step on the release with your other foot, even if that foot is still attached to the ski.
Tide? What's a tide? Man, it's 1000 miles to any ocean.

That is what I have been doing, I am scratching my bindings all up. I though about carrying a one foot stick with me but if I fell that stick could
become a dagar.

I always leave a ski pole stuck into the top of my ice screw. You might try unhooking your control bar and reaching with it?
The ultimate would be a ski valet who could park your kite, remove your
skis, and hand you a nice refreshing beverage.

Once things start getting used, they'll show it. Really concerned with how your bindings look?

If you do use your control bar, only use it to release the downwind boot, then use the free boot to release the other heel.

I use the end of my control bar all the time I have also used a stick,
other foot, and even the pole I had my GoPro mounted to. It's all about improvising. Blonde bikini clad female ski valet gets my vote though:D

I am one of those picky fussy people that you like to buy used equipment from because it allways looks new. I do take extra care too keep my equipment
looking good, I cant help it I was born with this problem.
My skis boots and bindings are new, my old straight sticks would not float on the 2 feet of snow we got a while back, I could not find anything used.

Canucks plan of using a ski pole to mark your ice screw is a good one for you then. I bit of bright ribbon on the handle would not only make home base
more visible from a distance but also tell you a lot about wind direction + speed at that level. Ice screws get blown in pretty quick. Marking where
it is, is valuable.

Think about the kind of skiing your doing with the kite. This is'nt down hill slalom skiing we're doing. I run my bindings so I can easily twist out
of them and I can almost as easily pop out of the heel binding , no pole necessary. Long straight runs they stay on and what little jumping and
crashing I did they pop off easily (I need my knees to drive me and the gang home)! Hoping they stay on above 50mph which I may put to the test
tomorrow.

Canucks idea worked perfectly I got a chance to fly my 11m apex not enough wind to keep it in the air very long so the ski pole came in handy to get
in and out of my bindings.
The 11m was a little intimidating but in low wind it seems like it is going to be perfect. Either we have no wind or too much wind, cant seem to
win.
