Beware of the bungy

While unhooking my speed buggy from the van , one of the bungies slipped out of my hand. Fully stretched big plastic bungy hook slams near bullseye into left lens of my sun glasses. After stopping the bleeding and cleaning up my face I see that there is just two little slits. After a dab of ointment and a tape patch I put in a great afternoon dodging snowdevils. pics on facebook if you can find me

Yep I wondered why they banned bungie cords from work, till I had one break and slap me in the cheek. Sadly I'm stubborn and still use them from time to time at home. Lol

Why don't you put pics here?

I refuse to join Facebook.

Ouch. I've had them wrap across my knuckles and the bridge of my nose once :alien:

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

I'm thinking if I posted pics to picasa (which I've done once maybe 3 years ago) then posted a link here I could do this. Any thing else requiring more than 3 clicks is too long and frustrating for me.

For lashing things to the car....
  1. cam straps
  2. ratchet straps

That's it, no exceptions.

A bungee cord on a moving vehicle is constantly being stretched and compressed as things rattle around, often leading to premature failure.... above and beyond the whole loaded slingshot aimed at you thing.

ATB,
Sam

/agree.

I use $7 kayak straps. They cam, but they're not those ridiculously unwieldy things that were really designed to hold tractors to a flatbed.
