I wonder if it's Ken Gustin who is local and posts on Ivanpah Wind Runners on Facebook?
Not sure if he posts here and if it is him - either way sorry to hear the news and heal fast.

It must be Ken Gustin. I had not heard anything about him getting hurt. I'll check in with him this morning and see what happened.

There is strong but rideable wind through Tuesday. It's small kite or big b@11s kind of wind.

Ken did post on the IBB page on facebook that he broke his arm yesterday when a gust caught him mid turn. That's when you are most vulnerable for sure.

OUCH !

I heard he hurt himself but understood it seemed more like tendons in his shoulder or something. So sorry to hear it was more serious.
Speedy recovery from one Ken to another.

Winds really were crazy . If not for almost unlimited downwind I would have been in big trouble a couple of times ! Scary after being away for a long time . While I am not happy a local got hurt it makes my decision not to go out for " one more run " a little easier to swallow.
