There is a kite festival coming to Nahant, MA next Saturday June 7th with a rain date of Sunday June 8th:

This is primarily a single line and sport kite festival, but it is also a power kite friendly event. This festival is being held quite late and beach season is starting. The amount of free beach we will be able to use will be limited.

It has been 4 years since the last event due to construction that is just now finishing. I am sure that this will be a good time and hope that some of the flyers in New England can attend.

I love local kite events! Even when I just fly static, it's always fun to see lots of kites in the air, and families having fun! They are bringing back a favorite from the '70's here(in Watertown, NY). Called Kite Day, it raises funds for the Thompson Park Zoo, and also the Wounded Warrior Project.
