Oh Yeah baby,
Couple important notes though, know the area, no lights, just moonlight and maybe a flashing light on your back so others can see ya, Your eyes will
adjust better in total darkness than they will with a headlight or flashlight visible.
Never run flat out at night.
I just got some snowkiting in at the local park last week well after dark.

toss a few glow sticks in the cells of the foil and if need be for objects that might be in your way as warning

Some of the best riding in Ivanpah is during a full moon. You can see the whole lake bed nearly as good as in the day. It is especially awesome
during the summer time when day temps can reach well over the 110 mark. Night time is much cooler.

I'm not sure of the lake bed thing, but at our beaches near the city, there's enough light comming from town to clearly see your kite even with no
moonlight. I've had no problem seeing my darker coloured kites after the first couple minutes.
There's just something super cool about buzzing down the beach in the dark, with the city lights as a backdrop. WhiteRock, one of our local beaches
has a trendy strip of restaurants and such along it, pretty busy at night. Just wild to have the waves crashing behind you, the night life in front of
you and nothing in your way but wide open beach and the buzz in your lines.

Beaches are great, but if your stuck kiting in fields like I am be careful for ants. I sat to adjust my kite last night and sat myself right next to
an anthill without even knowing. Im now stuck with well over 30 bites.... Still if there are good winds tonight ill be there with long socks on!

My mate was flying his kite one night and put glowsticks in it.
The following week there were actually UFO reports in the paper. :alien:

Same thing happened to me with my kite! (except that was sort of my intention) I got a ton of those flashing lights that you put on a bike and some
ring flashlights and lined the outside of my NPW with the ring lights about 1.5 feet apart with a flashing one between every other light (oh and a
NPW is a great ufo shape to the untrained eye) Then i put one glowstick on the end of each power cluster. I went up to my local park and flew with a
couple of friends. So we started flying it around and then after about 2 minutes of very ufo type flight i brought it down and kept brake tension so
it would stay inflated on the ground (and still show off the lights) and thats when my (2) friends with flashlights and glowsticks came running out
from behind the kite and ran all around the field screaming, then they ran behind it turned off the flashlights and hid the glowsticks and i
relaunched the kite flew around for about 30 seconds and than ran behind a bunch of trees and landed and went home hoping someone had seen the show.
(forgot to video it but it looked great) so my friend who lives right by the park saw the kite and freaked out (he didn't show up at school the next
day) and it wound up in our school newspaper. OOOH good times good times.
