upgrades! ATV rims!!
Following in the footsteps of Van and Coolbreeze I decided to get some ATV rims for my bug.
These rims are from DWT racing in the U.S.

Just to let others know... If you move up to a 10" rim, the rubber is way cheaper and way more options for tread.

I have the exact same rims for my rears Unfortunately I had a tire shop
mount them the first time and they crushed one of them with their machine  They
ended up reimbursing me for the price of a new one. Lesson learned the hard way. I enlisted the help of an ATV dealer for the next mount job Love the dust caps!

Interesting question. I don't know really. I'd say it's gained a little weight. Perhaps around an extra 7lbs. The new rims weigh about the same as the
old standard 8x8 plastic rims. The new front rim quite a bit lighter.
Its the hubs that are weighty. Once you bolt those up they're noticeably heavier to handle.

just a fyi, the Yamaha bolt pattern is 4 x 110mm if you want different rims.
guess it'd depend on your axle hub/bearings.
