Wanted : Quad line foil 2.4-3.5

Hello,
we are trying to find a quad line foil for Dad.
He really loves the smithi spiderkite, but a new one is out of our budget.
He likes the PDK Soulfly 3.3 but they arent' available. Neither are the Flexifoil Sting 3.3's.
He doesn't board or buggy. Just wants something to play with.
Please let me know what you have
Thanks

Take a look at the 1.8M and 2.6 Skydog Powerfoils.. Big Mike has a 2.6 Demo for a decent price. They are pretty maneuverable..

If you true stunt perfomance, you could convert a Symphony to a quad.

Instructions are here http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=26213

HQ Symphony 2.2.4!
Skydog SDT 2.8
HQ Crossfire II 2.0, 3.0 & 4.0
HQ Toxic 8.0
Flexifoil Blurr 3.5
Flexifoil Blade 8.5
PL Hornet 2.0

Before you ask, What kite Should I buy?

I think I'm pretty sure I know someone that has some Soulflys. Where are you located. I can give him a yell.

I was going to recommend the Skydogs as well. I have biuggied with all the sizes and have a blast with them. I used the 1.8 in up to 35mph wind. And last week I used the 9.3 in 5mph wind and had a blast again. There are 6 sizes now and they are affordable.

Thank you Riff, the skydogs look pretty good, a little out of our reach though.
A symphony would be in our budget depending on the conversion cost. I know if Dad can't have a smithi though, that he's going to want something bigger.
like the soulfly and sting, I know he'd only want one of those in 3.3.
We are in NW ohio. Dad says if you add up all the time that we have decent wind, you'd get about a day worth of flying a year :P

Cost of conversion on The Symphony is about $10 PLUS the cost of handles and additional lines. It ends up being in the same ballpark pricewise.. .

It really boils down to what you want to do with the kite.. I like stunt flying with my Symphony, My 2.0 Hornet and even my Skydog 2.8 to some extent. The Smithi Spider looks like a very fun kite and I've considered one myself on several occasions..

There is actuall a club in that area that fly once a month at mawmee bay park. I think they're called the Black Swamp kite club or something like that. Mostly stunt and rev fliers. A good group of folks. I flew with them last year when we camped there.

Dad had mentioned that club, said they are about an hour and a half from here. We usually don't have the ga to go that far

he'd probably like the skydogs, but unfortunately they are too expensive, even that demo 2.6 is way out of our budget. That and its only 10 bucks cheaper than the smithi :(
