Hi guys I no you guys are all flying 4 line models but for the newer people still taking a look at getting into flying foils the new HQ Symphony Pro models are slick as hell. Ive flown all 4 models in the new series and am very impressed with the series. Here is a short write up on all the models in the new series


1.3 Symphony Pro is a precision beast, honestly its probably my favorite one in the series just because its super agile and extremely easily to learn on. The new models have shorter bridling and the cell bases in the new kites are extremely robust and hold frame well in gusty winds. This is a very quick and zippy kite though


1.8 Symphony Pro is easily going to be the best seller in the new Pro series. Its a mini tank in the sky basically. Gives you some good drag and a workout. Holds its frame extremely well, turns on a dime really sharp. Great kite all around


2.2 Symphony Pro is the odd ball in the series for me. It might just be because of the winds I was flying in. Extremely smooth flying kite but I didnt feel like I was producing much force with it comparing it to the 1.8 which turned on a dime sharper. I still need to give this one another chance though. Im not writing the 2.2 off by all means though.


2.5 Symphony Pro is a fking tank lol. Thing is slow as mollasses but pulls hard lol. Its a great kite but not what a lot of people starting off are looking for in particular usually.

All in all im a fan of the 1.3 and 1.8 Symphony pros the most.

I'm a fan of the Symphony kites too. I've had a 1.8 for several years and just recently acquired a Pro 2.2 rainbow. They are very easy to fly. Tonight I took the 2.2 Rainbow out to my favorite field while a soccer practice was going on. I heard one of the soccer girls yell 'I love that kite!'. Later, I was flying it and saw somebody approaching from my right. As she got closer she said 'I really like your kite!" I was hoping to see a big increase in pulling power between the 1.8 and the 2.2. My 1.8 came with 150lb line while the 2.2 was new with 310lb line. I was trying to be cautious since I suffered a back injury last year and had surgery this year so I didn't want too much. I think I would have been ok with the 2.2

What is the difference between the Beach III and the Pro series ?

I don't see much apart from the Pro being sold as being nicer, and having better lines.

Looking at the Beach III 2.2 and the Pro Neon 2.2 (which I bought slightly used for a good price), only difference seems to be the beach has 220 lbs lines, the Pro has 310 lbs lines. And the Beach supposedly flies in ligther winds 4-31 mph vs 5-31 mph (due to lines ?)

So is is the difference in price only the stronger lines, better winder, and the included backpack ? And basicly the same kite ?

The Pro versions are more refined. For example they have stitched bridles as opposed to tied bridles on the non-pro.

More durable, cleaner aerodynamics and overall nicer feel.
