just wondering id anyone has cut and placed plastic drink bottles on there feet when flying the kite, i guess its a bit like trays under the back
wheels of your car!

I have done it in the snow and tried it in the grass. It's actually harder to keep your balance due to the lack of resistance.

I took a bandsaw to the soles of and old pair of hiking boots and smoothed them off. Sorta worked, but I still found the stop/start inconsistency of
the grass in my paddocks too hard on my ankles. Sand is the answer. Just head to the beach
ps: I also made some 'grass skis' out of some old tin I had lying around.....it quickly became obvious that it wasn't really a good idea !
pps: Once you get going in a buggy, then you'll be well and truly hooked...

Soda bottle shoes big back in 2006-2007 worked well on sand if I remember correctly. Others have tried PVC not sure how well they worked but someone
can put in there 2 cents.

somewhere on here I thought I remember a picture of plastic bottles tapped to some boots. What I used at WBB were "carpet skates" designed for sliding
on carpets in a house. I gained some measure of controll when I started to pointed both feet toes angled toward each other "snow plow" /\ .
Extemely slippery on hardpack sand , mostly crappy on grass!

I once put duct tape on the bottom of a pair of shoes, but didn't wear 'em, as no need with the wind speed that day!

Plastic Bottles
Crocs are soft, ugly, smooth soled, and easily cleaned. I saved a worn down pair and they work on Sand and Grass. Just enough slide, just enough
grip.
