A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island

I just found this movie title on IMDb. The movie is in post production, but I didn't see a release date. Unfortunately, Jekyll Island isn't listed as one of the filming locations. Go figure.

Here's a version of the synopsis from IMDb:
"The Secretary of the Treasury enlists an ex-Wall Street man to thwart a cyber attack that threatens to derail the American economy. With the help of his wife, he recruits his rag tag team of misfits, and prepares to save the world from total financial implosion."

But what's the real conspiracy here? I'm not positive about this, but didn't Angus work in NYC at one point? And isn't he married? And who's more of a rag tag team of misfits than kiters? WAY too many coincidences if you ask me.

Not to start any rumors or anything.

And the first transatlantic cable came ashore on Jekyll...?

roflmao...

I posted something a while back about truth and was ridiculed. Federal reserve, IRS etc.. all private corporations.

There is LOT more to that than meets the eye. LOT more. This is just the tip of the ice burg and something my research led me to years ago. But to save face and keep the peace I shall not mention it here.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

so far it really hasn't mattered, if real or not

but with technology that puts everything known in the palm of your hand... its just a matter of time with the unpossible.

I have no clue, I wasn't there so I don't dare swear under oath under the pains of penalty of perjury or even pretend that I "KNOW" it did. I DO NOT have first hand knowledge of any of the facts so I can't say it did . . . and frankly I don't think you do either eh?

But it could have happen. Were you there?

Whats so surprising is that the very law itself says it's a fiction. But you guys can keep on believing the lies. I really don't care.

I do like flying kites though.

btw.. those signature quotes are not there for my health - they are there for edification and reflection . . for anyone who cares to edify and reflect on truth.

Having re-worked many of the orbital dynamics calculations required for landing on the moon as part of my astrophysics education, and having worked with some of the hardware that was developed in order to put dudes on the moon, there is no doubt in my mind that we did, in fact, send a ship there and had people walk in the moon dust.

People definitely lie, but math and hardware don't. To say that all the hard work of my predecessors was made up is honestly a little insulting. I'm not offended or anything, but it's still a little callous.

Truly, hearsay is NOT facts.

I'm not sure how you can take a position on hearsay to be callous when that's just what it is. A rose by any other name is still a rose.

We are adults here I hope.

I'm not saying no one has been to the moon. All I am saying is, it's not FACT unless you were one of those who actually DID put your boot print in the dust of the moon. But even then it's only FACT to you.

cheers

I'm sorry Mikey but your logic doesn't seem to make sense,... you seem to be defining FACT as completely subjective ... A fact is only a fact if YOU experience it yourself? By that logic, you could claim that major world events didn't occur because YOU didn't experience them... Neither you nor I were at the signing of the Declaration of Independence, does that mean it didn't happen?

Or are you playing semantics between "fact" and "truth"

Merriam Webster defines "fact" as:
1 : a thing done: as a obsolete : feat b : crime <accessory after the fact> c archaic : action 2 archaic : performance, doing 3 : the quality of being actual : actuality <a question of fact hinges on evidence> 4 a : something that has actual existence <space exploration is now a fact> b : an actual occurrence <prove the fact of damage> 5 : a piece of information presented as having objective reality
— in fact : in truth

Ironic that space exploration is used as an example... I promise I didn't put that in there... Carrying on

By that definition we see the inherent weave created by the terms "fact", "actuality", "objectivity" and "truth"... Do you see these all as subjective? Can objectivity even be subjective?!?!?!?

If truth is subjective then there is no Absolute Truth... Hmmmm

Getting too hairy
Sorry bud... Doesn't jive with me.

I like kites Mr Anderson.

Yes, these subjective values , they depend on experienced and learned knowledge . Because of a given culture from a society .
For this invented they the school and the laws so can they standardize the values .
( But the Anglo-Saxon folk unfortunately feel that often , they may have truth / is in the judgement of the things . And they do not try to think it over with the other man's head . Is it from that they avail themselves of prejudices opposite the on other way socialized people / groups . This there is fact the history proves it … The logic of the formal thinking stems from ancient Greece while the civil right from the ancient Roman law until today's day !!! )
Patience-circumspection-tolerance

I did, in fact, see the tech and math work. It would be dumb, wasteful and hard to not have used it. My use of "in fact" was saying that I believe we did, in fact, land on the moon. I didnt say, "it is a fact that we landed on the moon."

Anywhoo... Believe what you want to believe. Honestly, about the only thing I trust completely anymore is math. What's the source of your beliefs?

Isn't that a perception? Isn't it all about semantics? Isn't FACTS based on something true? Isn't truth revisable? Isn't that in and of itself subjective? And lastly doesn't that make FACT subjective?

But it's all good bro. Let's fly kites! rofl

Isn't it true there are NOT any absolute truths. That word "absolute" is predicated on a relation. A relation to time space, and even the sensors. Why? Because what is said to be absolute is not restricted to any particular time frame or we can call it for what it is. "ETERNAL" And no one can say anything is ETERNALLY TRUE. To do so would make him/her God. So to claim that a proposition is absolute is to claim that said proposition can be validated to be the case for all of eternity....forever in the past and forever in the future. Correct? And that would be eternal that we sent man to the moon... but is that "eternal? No. We didn't send man to the moon 10k years ago. So that's not absolute truth.

That is impossible. When the term ‘absolute’ qualifies another term (like truth) does it not decree that term to be free from any relations, dependencies or restrictions? Yes

Just as I said before.. sure it's possible the world we live in has sent people to the moon. But I wasn't there so I can't swear to any "facts" even though I personally believe man has put his foot on the moon. Let's presume FACTS are that we sent man to the moon. Can any of us prove that? No. So is that fact or just hearsay? Even though it is placed in the dictionary, doesn't make it true.

Let's pretend we're in court:

Defense attorney: "Tell us soliver, isn't it true you saw the space shuttle launch"?
You: "Yea." (assuming you did)
Defense attorney: "Well wouldn't you say then that we then sent man to the moon"?
You: well yea.
Prosecutor: "Objection that's hearsay where's the relevance"?

If you or anyone here were on a witness stand, could you swear under Oath, and under the pains and penalty of perjury, that we sent someone to the moon? No. Why? Because it would be considered "by law" as hearsay. Even though you and I BOTH saw space launches and those huge crafts penetrating the atmosphere. We can NOT swear under oath under the pains of penalty that we sent man to the moon. Isn't it true Hearsay is NOT fact?

There ARE no absolute truths because absolute is predicated on experience by God alone as God is and always has been. (supposing that's true) Isn't absolute eternal?

If you are keeping up with his-story, isn't it true the facts being revised all the time? Isn't history made by the victors of the battles? Wouldn't that make his-story just that? Someones story and accounts of events?

I believe it is all a play on semantics and for a just cause too. But we can agree to disagree. lol

cheers

Also, basic algebra lies!!!
