what size depower?
So I've decided on the Peter Lynn Lynx as my first depower kite. However, I'm not entirely sure what size to go for, either the 7m or 9m :3 I was just
wondering if someone could help me out? I weigh 56kg and wind speeds are usually around 15mph with gusts. Thanks

Alright thanks, so basically the 9m is probably the better choice?

I'm 160 (72kg) and my 7m Lynx is the current go-to kite at my local park - it's about having to size for the gusts rather than the base winds - and I
have a 9.5m Montana VI that's frequently too much.
I'm considering an 11m Lynx as a "session saver" (those really light wind days that I just have to fly) :wee:

Okay thanks, I'm thinking since the gusts are regularly very strong then the 7m would probably be a better choice.

Where are you / where do you fly?
Are there other kiters in your area? They could rob ably add some valuable info to your decision making.
With the cost of de-powers being higher than FB, you want to make sure you're making the "right" choice. Then again, like FB's, you're probably going
to wind up with more than one.

There's Peter Lynn team member on the Board, Carl "carltb", that is a couple of hours north of you. It might be worth asking him for some input. I
love his videos... Here's his video with the 11m Lynx (he makes everything look so easy!): www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=27877#pid267384

Problem solved. I'm sure he'd be willing to comment on using the Lynx both on - and off - a board... :wee:
Fly safe,
