What's in your kitebag? (Besides your kites)
I'm new to the kiting scene, got my trainer last year and picked up a few nice used depowers a couple of weeks ago. I've been reading through random
posts on the forum for the past month or so, and one thing I haven't really noticed anywhere was a good list of what you keep in your kite bag? I have
a great big duffel bag (from MEC) which seems to work awesome, but I don't really know what to fill it with other than my kites. Three days ago I
decided to put bug spray in it (the wind died and I thought the bloody Mosquitos were going to pick me up and fly away) and yesterday I decided to put
an extra toque in it (welcome to Saskatchewan, 22C one day, 7C the next) but I'm not too sure what else to add. So the random question of the day is:
What's always in your kite bag?
P.S. This whole new kite curse does end at some point.... Doesn't it?

I usually toss in a bottle of water. Maybe a snack or 2. Almost always have my son with me and those are the things he asks for the most. Lol.

Welcome to the Forums Brant!
I always have in my diddy bag:
extra sets of lines
an extra set of handles
several ground stakes
a roll of Velcro
a multitool (pliers)
nylon repair tape
small roll of paracord
a few carabiners
a lighter
a few corn hole bags (for kite weights)
and two adjustable wrenches for the buggy
Im sure there is some more in the bottom of the bag. That's just off the top of my head. I try to carry enough odds and ends to at least make a field
repair to a kite, or help a friend.
My electronics and such are in a separate bag.
I also carry a full first aid kit, but that stays in the truck.

Usually my gps, gopro, kite stakes, extra harness line, extra lines, extra handles, an extra harness, gloves and a sleeving kit eventually. Also carry
some sun screen...that's all in one bag. Also have a tool box that stays in my truck.

I don't pack as much as others do Kite, lines, handles, ground stake, kite
killers, and two water bottles. First Aid kit stays in the car. I guess it would vary depending on the trip I'm making. If you are referring to an
average trip just to the local park or beach, then those would be the things I bring. Also, forgot to mention power kite gloves! Although they aren't
always needed, I use mine in high wind conditions as my hands start to ache from the constant pull. Gloves definitely help add some extra cushioning.
If it's a few hour drive somewhere, I would obviously bring some extra lines and a repair kit! :D Fly safe!
Cheers, Ari

Dittos to almost all of the above... Misc tools, weights, extra straps, bungie chords, extra strop material, sunscreen, GPS, etc etc.
but also
A. Camelbak
B. Knee braces for the bad knee
And a couple of specialties for me alone cuz I'm diabetic
B. Gatorade for low blood sugar
C. Extra infusion sets (for the insulin pump) as they inevitably get pulled off (thats like the port part that sticks to you).
I'm going to take a nap now

In addition to the above, I have small boxes in a larger gear box that have assorted 10-12mm stainless nuts, bolts, and washers. Another that has
front axle parts including sleeves, 20mm washers, and axle bolts. And yet another that has an assortment of amsteel for strops, pigtails, etc.
Separate tool box with everything I need to take my buggy apart or make adjustments. I have a duffle bag for fixed bridle kites that includes kite
stakes and my safety release.

There is nothing worse than forgetting your sunglasses. I just did that the other day.
