Newb.. Just got a kite..

Hey guys-

Just thought I'd say hello.

I'm a complete and total newb. Bought a Snapshot 1.9 this past week while at the beach and had a blast.

I'm hoping we will have good wind locally to fly it and if so, I'm looking to get something with a little more pull.

Just a newb sayin' hello..

No not a pit. A pit has a bottom at some point. Buying kites is way worse. It never ends lmao.

Welcome! Looks like you mastered 2 line flying with your snapshot. For your first 4 line kite, I suggest a Peter Lynn Hornet 2-3m. HQ beamer is also a very popular beginner trainer! Ozone Octane is a great choice as well. Although they aren't in production anymore as Ozone stopped with fixed bridles. You will most likely find one somebody selling one here or you could check for a new one from some online shops. As you progress, you will find your wallet becoming more and more empty so careful  Here is a helpful guide you might want to check out: http://www.coastalwindsports.com/101FirstFlight4LineHandles.... and for choosing a kite: http://www.coastalwindsports.com/ChoosingAKite.html You could search for other forum topics where newbies are looking for their first kites as well. Hope that helps :D

Cheers, Ari

I'm in NW GA, so if you ever come close to Atlanta, let me know and we can maybe meet up. Welcome aboard the addiction train!

I'm going to take a nap now
