a question of identity...goofy or regular?

just has a nice 3hr ride, practicing carving turns and doing little hops to get the feel of load and pop and it has dawned on me...i can no longer tell which is my strongest side to ride on... Water starts are fine both ways... switching to toeside, riding toeside and toe to heel carves im stronger when my right foot is forward, i also find it easier to ollie the board (hop) when my right foot is forward. My attempts at a heel to toe carve are better when i'm on a regular footed tack.... It all feels very strange....though i have a feeling i'm stronger on my regular foot as i ride toeside better when its my left foot forward.... But is this just because unlike in surfing, i'm having to spend 50% of my time riding the other foot?

left foot forward is regular. i think. trying consider why it matters at this point.
i knew there was a difference when i started 8 years ago ... but the sooner you forget about it the better , or its just a handicap, you definitely strengthen your less dominate footing over time esp. with TT, good symmetry is better!

my strapless riding on a surf board has been an effortless transition because of better symmetry.

with a wave the orientation is obvious, even in the pros, a dominate stance will be favored and we ALL have strong sides.

you will have better strength and agility in your dominate stance/direction(TT). for bigger jumps and harder rail pops.

the less you think about it the better ...and besides the only people watching will concern themselves more with it anyway ...you'll be the one ripping it and prolly can't remember or care what you where doing and thats what you want!

just keep doing it man ! with your brain turned off

I can throw an invert goofy footed only, and I'm naturally a regular.

I'm regular footed, but I have distinctly different skillsets, depending on which way I'm going. I can milk the smallest bit of wind and ride it while riding switch (goofy), but I am better at catching air and carving huge on the regular side. Landboarding really forced me to be good at riding switch -- the awesome thing? It now apparently translates to snowboarding, too :)
