JoJo Wings - Dealer in U.S.?

So I'm looking for a new Race Kite in the 8m range. Decided to do a google search for JoJo wings (because I love my 5m RM+) and saw their 'new' race kite, the RX.

I'd sure like to get my hands on one but can't find any information on U.S. distributors or dealers.

Are dealers on here that sale them?

Has anyone ridden one?

No US dealers anymore...I'm pretty sure.... from talking w/buggydanny.

Only showing one Czech distributor on website. Used to show a few European distributors in past couple years ago.

You would have to buy from over there and pay the shipping...... that's all. Extra $ for an already very expensive kite.

Says:
"...very high stability in wind gusts, extraordinary upwind and downwind angles, ability to stay open at the edge of the window, and very high performance in weak wind."

I love my RM+'s also. excellent quality construction too.

The desire for the new kites here in the US is for some reason in limbo. There is interest in the kites but it seems as though JoJo isnt interested in sending any kites here. A few of us have placed orders and have yet to see anything. Not sure why but would like to know why.
It would be hard to sell something that you cant get.

I have a 6, 8 and 10 RX coming. There was a problem with shipping as they sent it postal to the beach house that had no incoming mail. They just got them back and sent them to the Woodland address. I still have KBSS and still have an account with JOJO Wings and would be glad to help get their kites in the hands of pilots that appreciate great foils.

Reading the webpage info I'm not sure the distinct design differences between RM++ and RX.. other than what they say it will do.

There description is a bit unclear or lacking.

Thanks for the information guys.

@jellis - Looking forward to your reviews once you get the chance to fly them. I acctually bought my rm+ from you. You had a killer deal going on that I just couldn't pass up on. So glad I decided to purchase that kite. Before then, I had only heard a few things about them so I wasn't sure how the build quality would be or how it would fly. I remember when I first unrolled the kite. Really SOLID build quality. And the power was off the charts. I just couldn't believe how a thin plan form could generate so much power. I also really liked the material they used...if seemed lighter but just as durable. The only problem is we don't get too many 5m days in the San Fernando Valley. When I saw that they had the RX, I thought this might be a good opportunity to get in a size I could use more often and to see how they could improve on what I thought was a fantastic kite. I love my Vapors but it's really fun to put up different race kites from other companies. Still want to try the Quantum as well.

BTW, does Libre have any new race kites? When I checked, they still had the Spirit's and I never had a chance to fly those.

I'll shoot you a U2U re: price and availability.

I agree on the rx kites being pretty awesome. I only got to spend about half n hour flying one but was able to put it thru it's paces pretty well. Simply, it's an RM+ that's difficult to bowtie. Maybe even impossible... lol I did some things with it that would have definitely caused my rm+ to fold up. It does however seem to be just a bit slower out of the gate, then builds nicely.

I think if Jimmy had a chance to fly the right size RX for the wind strength he will find plenty of grunt out of the gate. I am like Will Rogers in a way as I never flew a JOJO foil I didn't like.
I am still the distributor for JOJO WINGS and can pass on greats prices.

The RX sail is very stiff , very high cell count compared to the competition ( vapors etc ), they accelerate much faster than the RM+ ( we have a full set of RM+ and RX 4/6/10 + a 8m on the way) so we can compare.

Any kites the RM+ seem to compare to? I am about to end up with two of them, and can't seem to find much information on them. I've heard semi-similar to a PL Twister?

Errr... um..... RM in RM+ = Race Master.

I would have thought it would be more comparable to Ozone Yakuza, PL Vapor, or PKD Combat.

Thanks Indigo, I missed that thread, and that helps. I just didn't dig up much info in my search and want to know a bit of what I'm getting into with them, before I put one up. I was lucky in terms of knowing what I was in for with my Pansch Aces, and if any kite taught me to learn as much as you can ahead of time, it was that. Definitely will be going for light wind days regardless for first flight.

I got an RM+ 5m kite. Got a Yakuza 4m and some Vapors 7.8 and 9.4.

Hadn't heard much about the RM+ when I purchased it a few years ago but I was very impressed when I opened the box. Very well made kite. Fabric was crisp and light. Stitching and bridle was top notch.

....and they are fast and powerful. They can lift but are built for speed. IMHO, they're not as stable as the YaS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s or Vapors but just as powerful. They are faster than the YaS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s and probably just as fast as the Vapors...maybe. In clean wind, they are awesome...in inland conditions with gusty lully conditions, you have to be active on the breaks to manage tip curls and closures. In two action words, I would describe them as fast and explosive. Great kites!

I'm actually saving some money for a new race kite. Just don't know if it's going to be the Vapor 2 or the JoJo RX....

Anyways...HTH!

Thanks a ton lunchbox that helps. I'm solely gusty inland wind, so I may relegate them to the sidelines with my aces.

Race kites can be finicky to fly / turn in general. Not my cup of tea but I am a bit of a lazy pilot.

I would suggest you sell them on rather than side line them. Too good a kite to be sitting out. Perfect kite for a lot of pilots.

That Sysmic was a screamin' deal with those kites included. I was thinking whoever bought it could sell off the 2 kites at a good deal and have the buggy for way under $1000 investment. Even if you sit on the kites you got a fantastic deal on that buggy!

I find it interesting that you don't like your 5m Ace? It seems to me that Pansh designed the 5m ( the 1st Ace they came out with ) and scaled the rest from there? I wasn't too pleased with other sizes but my 5m was a good kite. Similar to a Blade 4.9m.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

I love my 5m Ace. But gusty winds lead to luff/snap, and too lifty in the gusts for me often. Funny thing is it sits sidelines all spring/fall, and then comes out to play winter so I can use the lift for good in snow and the "thicker" air seems to make it play well. Too finicky/touchy in gusty winds (gusts normally around 75-100% wind speed). I have a 5m and 7m. If I sideline them, it'll be until I can try them out for winter, and then decide to sell or not. Selling will be more so they get used than for the money, as I have no clue what I'd price them at. Thanks again for all the advice bladerunner.

I LOVE my two Ace kites. Been debating a smaller one of the new Aces which have great graphics. Just a matter of them being finicky and bad about luff and snap pull in gusts.
