peter lynn stick broken and hole in kite
Hi all,
This week end i had a problem with my peter lynn synergy 19. I've broken a stick and this one make a hole in its wrapping.
How can y repair it? Is it really a problem ? I m not sure there is any power in this wrapping cause wrapping tissu is really thin.
Can you help ?

Hi,
This is a small problem. You will need to repair the "stick" also known as a "spar". You can purchase new spars but honestly tent poles, plow
markers, bamboo, anything that is light and semi flexible and the right length/diameter will do the job. Unless you really need the option to fold
them.
Where is the hole on the kite? If you could post a picture it would be helpful.

You can use tent poles of the same size to replace your broken stick ( spar ) . I have used wood doweling as temporary spars.
I am not clear on the damage to the kite but it sounds like something you can repair with sail tape.
Ha Ha , I could have just left it to Chris. He got in ahead with the same advice.

Peter Lynn makes replacement spars if you need one. They are custom to the kite, but fairly quick to get.
fixmykite.com does great work for a very reasonable price if you cannot find another way to fix the kite. I've used them before and am happy with
their work.

i'm sorry but i'll not succed to have a picture of the hole before thursday at least. So, i'll use another TS pics to help.
the hole is placed like the red circle. Only in the black part i named wrapping.
What do you think about its gravity ?

Sorry Blade, you gotta be a faster typist. :P
Bredin, That's a fairly easy fix. Not a high stress point unless a spar snaps like yours did. If you are good at sewing just sew a patch of some
flavor of denier (nylon pack cloth) and you'll be fine.
