I did a 27 mile downwinder on a landboard 10 days ago on the 14 meter Montana 8. I am sure I set some kind of a landboarding record. And what a kite! Still wondering if I should sell the 12 meter, though they are too close in size.

Where in the world are you kiting that you have 27 miles to ride in one direction..? That's like a whole session... :o

Bargain alert! The 12m is a versatile size for beach riders as well as inland riders that get lighter winds. I agree that the 12 and 14 would have lots of overlap. The 12 would pair up nicely with the 8m. Beautiful and fantastic kites to fly.

Love that beach in St. Augustine. The only place in the world I've had any luck riding a KGB. Just cruised on the 24m Phantom 2. Quiet a place and quiet a colorful bunch of kiters down there. Never had an interest in Fla. or riding a beach until my visit there. Pretty amazing place really.

This is a timing kite. Most who are looking for a DePower like this will recognize the value and would have snatched it up. That person has yet to see the post. Your price is great for what it is.

Yes, this is a killer deal on an awesome kite, even at the $950 price. Buyer and funds have just not coincided on this deal yet. Spring buying season is coming up quickly.

Is the 12 a true light wind kite or a moderate wind kite for heavy people (based on sail material, speed, handling characteristics, etc.)?

Light wind? 10 mph+ and this kite starts to shine. I suggest reading the tech specifics and reviews on Montana 8s. Watch Youtube videos of these kites in action and decide what size is good for you and in what conditions. I fly a 14 meter Montana 8 and I love it more than any other land or snow kite on the market. Ozone Frenzy 2015 is a close match.
