Italy and Spain for a rookie?

So I am going to Europe most of June and into July next summer. Taking the leap and getting going on the snow this winter, if all goes well I would like to learn on the water while I'm on vacation.

I will be in Lucca Italy for a week, Lake Como Italy for a week, and then Sotogrande Spain for a week. Any thoughts on locations, schools, etc? I'm solid in the water and if you have any surf spots you'd like to share I'm all about that too. (I like mushy point breaks with soft sand inside up to head + because I suck and live 1000 miles from the ocean :P)

Tarifa is out. I've been there and it's scary crowded (I was there in August and remember, I suck). Fun town though. So what says you? Plans are not concrete and I will be traveling around quite a bit. Might stop in and see some fam in Barcelona too. Anyone with good experiences? Should be fun learning while I can't understand a single thing the instructor's saying right?
