http://www.kiteworks.co.nz/ is a more local shop to you so you could avoid import, I don't know anything about them though....

http://www.extremekites.com.au/forums/viewforum.php?f=78 is the NZ section of the biggest Australia based kiteforum I know of, also ask there!
