Tug Hill 2015
Here's a video from 2014's Tug Hill event. (at 2:05, I'm sending my then new 12M NPW9, made by kitemaker 4, leading edge first into the ground. What
the photog didn't catch was I immediately popped on the brakes, backed her up and flew 'er back into the sky!) Looking forward to seeing lots of
folks there this year!

New attendee...
Are many going to arrive early....like on Thursday or Friday(we still have access permission outside official date?)
I will be trying to come a day or two early. When do they set up bathrooms:moon:.?
Also:
*What's going to be in the big tent?
*How high off the ground is the bottom revolution of the wind turbine blade, again?:o
*How much space typically between wind turbine's vertical support posts?
* Any shelter warming hut on site?..... The tent?
* Will there be a DJ there playing music so I have good audio to my Tug Hill videos?....oh, wait...you mean I can add music to video after?
* What kind of demo stuff?
*Do first timers get welcome gift bags?
*If the wind shuts off can we just turn on the wind turbine fans to make wind?
* Am I supposed to tell my parole officer I'm leaving the state to go there?
* Any Cuban cigars for sale there? Is embargo lifted?
* Any Organic Baked treats for sale, Hormone free burgers or other healthy calorie enriched goodies?
*How much vertical typical from bottom to top of hills?
* Can I synch up all those with North Face jackets to face North-just for a second so they are calibrated?
* How much fun can I have?

Generally the procedure has been to set up the big tent on Friday, with people starting to show up then. Port-o-potty usually arrives on Fri. as
well. Big tent is used for registering folks who don't do it online, as well as showing off the swag the manufacturers send for the raffle Sunday
night. As I have moved away from the area, I am no longer involved with the organizers, but I think Zeb said he would prolly arrive on Wednesday. I
am also unsure as to getting access prior to the event, but I have had luck in the area just stopping at the farm I want to ride, and begging
permission from the farmer. Just be humble, and follow his instructions as to where to park, etc.
I believe the rotors at lowest point are 90-100 feet from the ground, and most towers are at least 100 yards apart, or more. Big tent usually has a
heater, but I just fly when I get cold! First couple of rally's they gave away hats, then t-shirts, but no idea if that is gonna happen this year.
Bring your own organic baked goods, just don't forget to share! They have had a food truck there in the past, but I doubt if it was organic. Mostly
rolling hills at the main event site, 150-200' change in elevation iirc. Not really sure which sites will be used, but main site is usually the Deer
Farm on Rte. 177. I had secured a site in the Black River/Beaver River Valley, which was between 80 and 120 acres of flat hayfield which would have
been good for new riders, and was good for any wind with South in it, but I don't know if the county ever followed up on my lead, so don't know if it
will be available for the event, but I know the owner, so might still be able to get permission. I'm thinking I might get there on Thursday.
